Ukulele hockets at Music and Drama Education Expo
Last week, we ran our Ukulele Hockets workshop for a big crowd at the Music and Drama Education Expo at Kensington Olympia in London.
It was a bit of a challenge as we are used to running this workshop with everyone sitting in a circle rather to an audience sitting in rows but with a bit of improvisation, we managed to get most people strumming away and about half an hour in it was sounding great.
Afterwards, we had a few requests for the presentation that we gave alongside the workshop, so here it is: Hockets presentation
If you didn’t make it to our workshop and are wondering what on earth a ukulele hocket is, then have a read of this blog post of an article that appeared in Music Teacher magazine.
If you think you might like to take part in a ukulele workshop yourself and discover an accessible and inclusive way to teach music to large groups then find out more here.
