Leaders in music services and hub leads wanting to integrate equality, diversity and inclusion thinking and planning into their board meetings and the work of their board members.
What does it cover?
Depending on your board members’ knowledge and interests, this session can look at:
- What we mean by equality, diversity and inclusion
- Why it’s important to music services: the business case, including relationships with local authorities and schools
- Embedding inclusion in strategy and delivery

What are training and consultancy sessions?
These are 2 hour, focused introductions to specialist topics around equality, diversity and inclusion that have emerged from our work with the National Music Services Working Group on Inclusion and our action research.
Each music service is also entitled to a one-hour follow-up conversation, and if required, can be provided with a cost for further training sessions or a programme for their team.
