How to run a musical nurture group
Who is it for:
Music tutors and inclusion project managers wanting to set up small inclusive music groups for young people with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties
Thurs 1 July 4-6pm
What will I learn:
Learn what a musical nurture group is and how to set one up. Hear from tutors and a music centre manager on how it’s worked in Hertfordshire.
Come away with a checklist and advice for setting up your own nurture group.
Following the training you will be able to apply for up to £5k of funding to set up and begin a nurture groups programme (match-funding required)
Michael Davidson, Christina Luchies, and tutors from Hertfordshire Music Service
What are training and consultancy sessions?
These are 2 hour, focused introductions to specialist topics around equality, diversity and inclusion that have emerged from our work with the National Music Services Working Group on Inclusion.
There will be one live session each half term which is also recorded and available on demand afterwards. Each music service which attends live will be offered a one-hour follow up conversation, and if required, can be provided with a cost for a training session or programme for their team.
