Creating inclusive musical communities by diversifying progression routes
Who is it for:
Any music service colleague who wants to share and/or develop their progression routes beyond graded exams / into performance concept with colleagues.
Tues 3.30-5pm: 12 Oct and 19 Oct + 9 Nov & 16 Nov
What will we do:
If you want to diversify instrumental teaching, you need diverse progression routes. Members of the group will share their experiences, and following the sessions we will create a set of practical examples and tips for putting these into action.
Along with other members of the group, Hertfordshire Music Service will share their story, including videos, of creating a diverse range of progression routes, including setting up, partnerships, and marketing.
The initial two meetings and related work will help us to identify an action research partner to undertake a programme of funded work over the space of a year.

What are themed task & finish working groups?
These are short-term groups that respond to immediate needs where there is a desire to move quickly to address an issue, come up with a solution, co-create a resource, or carry out research. The results will be shared publicly. Topics will arise from peer learning groups. We hope colleagues will be able to attend both sets of sessions (four in total for current groups).
