Capturing social, personal and musical outcomes in your pupil report form

Person writing on paper

The pupil report form that instrumental music teachers send to parents, is a valuable tool. Not can it only capture and report on musical progress, but also personal and social. And instrumental tutors in our recent trauma-informed creative musical nurture groups programme found that it can be even more helpful. They adapted theirs, using it as an Individual Learning Plan, setting learning aims, and encouraging young people to critically reflect on their progress.

We’re sharing our standard pupil report form / music service tuition report form and guidance here, which includes personal and social outcomes. How could you adapt it so that it is even more helpful for you, and the young people you work with?
